Positive COVID-19 Case Update26 April 2021
4 new COVID-19 cases have been recorded in the Northern Territory in the past 24 hours.
One US Marine, a 25-year-old male, who arrived as part of the Marine Rotational Force - Darwin on 12 April 2021 has tested positive for COVID-19. He is asymptomatic.
Additionally, a one-year-old male, and two females aged 36 and 46, who arrived on the repatriation flight from New Delhi on 17 April 2021 have tested positive for COVID-19.
The one-year-old male and 46-year-old female are asymptomatic, while the 36-year-old female is displaying mild symptoms.
All 4 cases are under the care of the AUSMAT team at the NT Centre for National Resilience.
Since repatriation flights to the Northern Territory began on 23 October 2020:
- 6668 international arrivals have undertaken quarantine at the Howard Springs Centre for National Resilience.
- A total of 121 positive COVID-19 cases have been reported from international repatriation.
The total number of cases diagnosed in the Northern Territory is 164. All cases have been related to international or interstate travel, with no cases of community transmission.
